Welcome to my site! My family and I love to cook and want to invite you to share some of the recipes that are made in our home.
I know there are a lot of Southern cooks out there with blogs and recipes and just tons of content from the same cuisine, but I would love to share with you what is happening here in my home around the kitchen. My wife and I have tons of family recipes that I would love to see carried on through my children and through you.
I am just getting started in this foodie world and find it dominated by women. C’mon, guys, I know there are more of you out here. So far, I have learned a lot from these wonderful foodie ladies, and I hope to continue to learn from them. As most bloggers I would love to see this blog take off and really grow. I have a huge vision for this blog and hope to see it come to pass one day. I have a huge green thumb, and I am really looking forward to spring again to start my raised garden. I have some great recipes I plan on rolling out with fresh vegetables during that time.
If you did not already know I live in Louisiana and though sometimes I think this is the state that scraped off the Lord’s boot, it is home and I do love it. I love the fact that you can be driving to New Orleans and see an alligator laying on the side of the road with its jaws open at the passing traffic. Now that does bring back a story from long ago. Way before I met my wife there was a girl I was sorta seeing, well mainly just friends. Being from Ohio and up north people seem to think that living in Louisiana is just living in a swamp with tons of mosquitos and alligators all over and you can see them on the side of the road. Well I assured her it was not like this and at no time would you see an alligator on the side of the road growling at passer by’s. Man was I wrong. We went to New Orleans to pick up a wedding gift for a friend and wouldn’t you know it. We pass an alligator on the side of the road growling at traffic. 🙂
One thing is for sure they sure do taste good, and one day I will do a little recipe with some gator meat.
My family is very important to me, and I love cooking and baking with them. I love the fact that we have a family night once a week, and we use that time to play games and cook together with the kids. I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful and supporting family.
I am also the proud father of a Down syndrome child. She is the apple of my eye. My family is truly blessed to have her in our lives.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and I would love for you to come back. Tell your friends and family, and I hope to hear from you all.
